Volumetric-surface Hardening in Railway Bearings Production for Rolling Stock and Road Transport DOI: 10.22184/2499-9407.2025.40.3.32.38
The issues of producing bearings for railway and automotive rolling stock are considered, including dependence of bearing production on the import supply of materials, technologies, and machine equipment, which is a governmental problem. The presented analysis shows that it is possible to resume bearing production without attracting imports or minimizing them through domestic technology.

Application of Rice Husk Ash in PVC Production Technology With a Plasticizer to Enhance Water Resistance DOI: 10.22184/2499-9407.2025.40.3.40.44
Due to the wide use of the EDOS plasticizer, which has increased volatility, in technology of preparing polyvinyl chloride materials for machine engineering, its interaction with thermally treated rice husk has been studied to assess possibility of EDOS sorption on its surface to reduce plasticizer migration. Infrared spectroscopy studies confirmed partial adsorption of EDOS plasticizer on the surface of thermally treated rice husk (TRH) due to hydrogen bonds formation between this filler and the plasticizer, which allows to enhance water resistance of plasticized polyvinyl chloride compositions due to the lower leaching of EDOS when exposed to distilled water.

Influence of Regrinding of Worm Cutters on the Profile of Their Generating Surface DOI: 10.22184/2499-9407.2025.40.3.56.61
During the gear-cutting worm cutters operation when machining gear wheels, due to periodic regrinding of the cutters on the front teeth surface, distortion of the profile of generating surface of the worm cutter occurs, and, accordingly, the teeth profile of the machined wheel. To ensure processing quality and rational operation of gear-cutting worm cutters according to GOST 9324–2015, measures necessary to compensate for the resulting errors are defined and proposed.

The results of research aimed at expanding the scope of polymer materials application are presented. The fundamental possibility of manufacturing a working tool for stamping sheet plastic parts using the method of extrusion 3D printing is demonstrated. The results of modeling the stamping process with a plastic tool are provided. Contact stresses are determined, and the results of field experiments on the drawing of workpieces of "bushing" type with polymer tools of PLA and ePA-CF grades are presented.

Solution to the Problem of Velocities and Positions for the Modified Rotopod Mechanism With Four Kinematic Chains DOI: 10.22184/2499-9407.2025.40.3.68.71
An iterative algorithm for solving problems of infinitesimal displacements and, accordingly, velocities of the modified rotopod mechanism with four kinematic chains, whose output link has six degrees of freedom, is presented. The considered spatial mechanism can be applied in additive technologies and robotic complexes for processing parts of complex shapes, in measuring metrological systems.
